JOHN STANLEY DICKEN, 66, died Nov. 22 at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage. Born in Pasadena, Mr. Dicken lived in Palm Desert four years. He previously lived in Thermal and La Quinta 20 years. He owned Video Stop rental stores in Cathedral City and Indio from 1981 until 1991.

Mr. Dicken was president of the Thermal Chamber of Commerce from 1985 until 1989. He was elected to the Southern Coachella Valley Community Services District in 1986 and re-elected in 1989. Mr. Dicken resigned a year later.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn; three sons, Scott of Corona, Mike of San Diego and John of Tustin; five grandchildren; a brother, David of Brea; and a sister, Lauretta Owen of Eagle Rock.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. today at Church of Religious Science in Palm Desert. Graveside services will be private. Saddleback Mortuary in Tustin is handling arrangements.

PAULINE OLVERA, 79, died Wednesday at Premier Care Nursing Home in Palm Springs. Born in Banning, Mrs. Olvera lived in Palm Springs 35 years. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Olvera is survived by five sons, Gilbert of Los Angeles and Jerry, William, Daniel and Jimmy, all of Palm Springs; two brothers, Santos Santa Cruz of Palm Springs and Mike Santa Cruz of Banning; and four sisters, Patsy Thompson and Barbara Quinonez, both of Banning, and Cora Rivas and Connie Velasquez, both of Cathedral City.

Services will be at noon Tuesday at Wiefels and Son Mortuary in Palm Springs. Friends may call from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Palm Springs Cemetery.

Memorial contributions: A cancer research organization of the donor's choice.

MARGARET ROBERTS, 76, died Monday at Chapman-Harbor Skilled Nursing Center in Garden Grove. Born in Boulder, Colo., Mrs. Roberts lived in Riverside 49 years before moving to Garden Grove four years ago. Previously she lived in Perris and Homeland six years. She was an operator at Pacific Bell in Riverside for 46 years.

Mrs. Roberts graduated from Perris Union High School in 1945.

Mrs. Roberts was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Riverside and a member of American Legion Post 289.

She is survived by her daughter Edette Herron of Orange; two granddaughters, Michelle Qualls and Danielle Herron, both of Orange; a grandson, Mike Qualls of Orange; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Mortuary in Riverside. Interment will be private.

QUENTIN KARL STROM, 58, died Nov. 21 of pancreatic cancer at his Redlands home. Born in Portland, Maine, Mr. Strom lived in Redlands two months. Previously he lived in Moreno Valley 14 years. He was code compliance officer for the City of Moreno Valley before he retired. Previously he worked for the Androscoggin County, Maine Sheriff's Department 22 years before he retired as a captain in 1986.

Mr. Strom graduated from Maine Municipal Police Academy and attended Riverside Community College.

He was a member of the Inland Empire Harley Owner's Group.

Mr. Strom is survived by his wife of 33 years, Bonnie; a daughter, Keresa Doss of San Bernardino; a son, Kraig of Corona; three grandchildren; and two brothers, Sidney of Maine and Kennard of Texas.

Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Vista Heights Ward, 11790 Perris Blvd. in Moreno Valley. Interment will be private. Inland Memorial Hermosa Gardens Cemetery in Colton is handling arrangements.

Memorial contributions: American Cancer Society, specifically for pancreatic cancer research.

REINHOLD JUNG, 86, died Nov. 23 at his San Bernardino home. Born in Jamestown, N. D., Mr. Jung lived in Rialto 46 years. He was an aircraft electrician and mechanic for Lockheed Aircraft Corp. 31 years before he retired in 1985.

Mr. Jung served in the U. S. Marine Corps from 1944 until 1946.

He was a member of Lutheran Church of the Cross in Rialto.

Mr. Jung was a member of the Elks Lodge #2013 in Fontana.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie of San Bernardino; a daughter, Katherine Young of Nevada; two stepdaughters, Melissa Cowen of Nevada and Rebecca Smith of Riverside; three stepsons, Von Dawley of San Bernardino and Kevin Dawley and Lynn Dawley, both of Oregon; 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothy Koenig of North Dakota and Katherine Merrill of Oregon.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Lutheran Church of the Cross. Friends may call from 5 until 8 p.m. Sunday at McNearney Family Mortuary in Rialto. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Riverside National Cemetery.

EVA ALEJANDRE, 78, died Nov. 23 at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton. Born in San Bernardino, Mrs. Alejandre was a lifelong resident of Rialto. She was an insurance claims adjuster with Allstate Insurance 20 years before she retired.

Mrs. Alejandre was a parishioner of St. Thomas More Church in Rialto.

She is survived by her husband, Pete; two daughters, Becky of Nevada City and Sylvia of Maryland; three sons, Richard of Pennsylvania, Larry of Kensington and Andrew of Germany; 10 grandchildren; four brothers, Manuel Villavicencio of Sacramento, John Villavicencio of Bloomington, Gilbert Villavicencio of Moreno Valley and Ruben Villavicencio of Placentia; and four sisters, Aurora Ortega of San Diego, Celia Martinez of Colton and Herminia Cardenas and Lydia Hernandez, both of Sun City.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Thomas More Church. Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Monday at McNearney Family Mortuary in Rialto, where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Burial will be at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday at Riverside National Cemetery.

JAGER JAMES WATSON, 3 days, died of pulmonary hypertension Nov. 21 at Loma Linda University Medical Center. Jager was born Nov. 18 in Loma Linda.

He is survived by his parents, Ryan James and Andrea Watson of Mira Loma; a sister, Adriana Samaduroff of Mira Loma; grandparents, Daniel and Jaque Samaduroff of Corona, Wanda Watson of Norco and Dennis Watson of Placentia.

Memorial services will be at noon today at Thomas Miller Mortuary in Corona. Interment will be private.

JUAN PABLO TREJO, 23, died Nov. 23 at Riverside Community Hospital of injuries suffered after he jumped from the third story of a downtown Riverside parking garage Sunday Born in Tarimoro, Guanajuato, Mexico, Mr. Trejo lived in Corona 11 years. He was a laborer for four years.

Mr. Trejo was a member of the MSL soccer league.

He is survived by his mother, Ofelia of Corona; five brothers, Jesus, Miguel and Guadalupe, all of Mexico, Robert of Chicago and Benjamin of Corona; and two sisters, Anna Lilia and Maria Jose, both of Corona.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Edward Catholic Church in Corona. Friends may call from 1 until 5 p.m. Monday at Thomas Miller Mortuary in Corona. Burial will be in Corona Sunnyslope Cemetery.

FRANK T. PEPITO III, 51, died Nov. 23 at Riverside County Regional Medical Center in Moreno Valley from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident on the Ortega Highway two miles west of Lake Elsinore's Grand Avenue.

Born in Long Beach, Mr. Pepito lived in Riverside four years. He previously lived in Moreno Valley for three years.

Mr. Pepito was the fleet superintendent for the City of Anaheim for 24 years.

He was a member of the Willow Springs Motorcycle Club and ZRX Owners Association.

Mr. Pepito is survived his mother, Sunny of Hemet; two brothers, Mark and Larry, both of Nevada; a sister, Janice Hawkes of Nevada; and his fiancee, Rosemary Randall of Riverside.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Heritage Forum in Anaheim. Friends may call from 3 until 8 p.m. Sunday at Hilgenfeld Mortuary in Anaheim. Inurnment will be private.

RICHARD HERNANDEZ, 56, died Sunday at Parkview Community Hospital Medical Center in Riverside. Born in Los Angeles, Mr. Hernandez lived in Riverside 25 years. He was a real estate agent and worked for G.M.A.C. and Park Place Realty

Mr. Hernandez served in the U. S. Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Karlene; a daughter, Deanna Alvarran of Riverside; a step-daughter, Ashley Cornwell of Riverside; three sons, Richard, Christopher and Gabriel, all of Riverside; two grandchildren; his mother, Delfina Cotty; a brother, Jose of Valinda; and two sisters, Mary Parenti of New York and Dolores Tavares of Riverside.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Acheson Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary in Riverside. Friends may call at the mortuary from 5 until 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be private.
