The results of the San Bernardino Community College District board recount will not be tabulated until Monday, Registrar Ingrid Gonzales said.
All 12 of completed hand counts have shown near identical tallies with variations of only one to five extra votes for some candidates.
The hand recount was ordered by the county Board of Supervisors after a programming error on Election Night put the results of 33 races in doubt. After the error was detected, the computer recount was conducted, changing the outcome in 13 races, the only ones that were recounted by hand.
Gonzales initially had estimated that the recount could take up to four weeks. The process was a laborious one in which the clerks worked four to a table, counting one precinct at a time.
"Recounts are an unpredictable thing," Gonzales said.
But Gonzales said the process went smoothly with no problems.
"It's incredible," she said.
A team of volunteers, former poll workers, part-time poll workers and staff members of the San Diego County registrar of voters conducted the count. The recount clerks applauded and cheered Friday after they finished, Gonzales said.
