It's Christmas at Heritage House

THE PRESS-ENTERPRISE

Decked out for the holidays, the 1891 Heritage House will hold its 23rd annual Christmas Open House on Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Father Christmas, the precursor to Santa Claus, will be there, as well as musicians playing piano, flute, bagpipes, organ, autoharp and dulcimer. There will be choral groups and string and brass bands throughout the mansion and the 1.3 acre grounds.

There will also be free horse-drawn trolley rides along Magnolia Avenue, similar to one that operated in the 19th century.

The event is free, although donations will be accepted to support the continuing restoration of the historic house.

Heritage House, which is operated by Riverside's Municipal Museum, is located at 8193 Magnolia Ave. For information call (909) 689-1333.
