Armed man robs Redlands gas station

A gunman robbed a gas station Sunday evening in Redlands, police said.

Police responded to a call about 7 p.m. of a robbery at the Thrifty Gas Station at Orange Street and Union Avenue, Sgt. Jeremy Floyd said by phone. A gunman had entered the gas station and demanded money from the clerk, he said.

No one was hurt in the incident and the suspect fled on foot, Floyd said. He was described as an adult male in a gray sweatshirt and hood.
